What is Recylable : Sort Accordingly
- Glass Bottles & Jars : Bring them in boxes & keep lids seperate
- Steel & Tin Cans : Crushed is OK
- Aluminum Cans : Crushed is OK
- Plastics # 1-7 : together, but lids seperate
- Milk Jugs (#2 & Translucent) : Seperate from other plastics, keeps lids sperate
- Cardboard : Corrugated Cardboard, Paperboard (cereal boxes), Egg carton – like material & Paper Bags
- Paper : All colors, shredded, newspapers, magazines & shiny print keep together
- Lids : Keep all lids together (community prodject)
- Batteries : anything SMALLER than a car battery
- Other Plastics : RINSED Styrofoam, Chip bags, Frozen food bags keep together
Alliance
The curbside recycling test program started on February 21, 2018. Each participant is given a magnet and brochure of everything KAB recycles. The cost is $10.00 a month for bimonthly pickups or $100 per year if paid in advance. If you pay in advance, you will also receive a nice sturdy recycling container on wheels with our recycling logo. We will also send out text reminders so you don’t forget to take your bin to the curb for pick-up day.
